This hourly (non-exempt) position will perform daily reconciliation activities. Additionally, this position will assist with mentoring other department members and assist with departmental projects and initiatives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reconcile various General Ledger and DDA accounts.
- Process unposted items, reclamation, and ACH and Zelle disputes.
- Work with Bank and Commercial customer accounts on Positive Pay system.
- Maintain proficiency in all Reconciliation area functions. Assist with the mentoring and training of departmental personnel.
- Develop and update procedures and policies for the department in accordance with regulations. Assist the Reconciliation Assistant Manager with developing and delivering training sessions and material to efficiently and comprehensively educate both new and existing employees to mitigate risk for the bank and maximize departmental efficiency.
- Serve as a mentor for other colleagues on procedures/guidelines. Assist with training and coaching of less experienced support staff on procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Assist with facilitating departmental and bank-wide projects and initiatives.
- Compile and prepare Vital Signs documentation for monthly reports.
- Contact specific First American Bank branches or outside banking institutions when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate files and prepare reports as needed.
- Handle all internal and external research as needed.
- Communicate daily with First American Bank employees and other financial institutions.
- Conduct and complete additional assignments/projects as designated by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional specialized courses or training preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred.
- Minimum of three years of previous banking experience required.
- Bank operations experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred.

- Experience with Xperience (Jack Henry Silverlake) on-line host system preferred.
- Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, Bank functions and training facilities may be required.
- Typical scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required depending upon business need.
