This hourly (non-exempt) position is responsible for the performance of BSA related duties following documented policies and procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze/review and document suspicious activity alerts and reports review and escalate according to Suspicious Activity Monitoring procedures.
Perform enhanced due diligence on certain higher-risk businesses as assigned.
Document investigation results according to Suspicious Activity Monitoring procedures.
Review potential OFAC or other list screening matches as assigned.
Escalate recommended process efficiencies when identified.
Assume secretary duties of assigned Committee(s).
Perform customer due diligence, which may include site visits, internet research, and contacting branch personnel for investigations.
Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR).
Review procedures and updates as they come out.
Assist with systems and process testing as needed.
Conduct and complete additional assignments/projects as designated by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
One year of banking, accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience in BSA capacities required.
Qualified military veterans are encouraged to apply.
Bilingual in Spanish is required.
Must be professional, comfortable speaking with external and internal contacts with a demonstrated ability to tailor the message appropriately to the audience and situation effectively.
Demonstrated ability to convey thoughts and ideas effectively and succinctly via written formats, including emails, letters, and electronic platforms. Maintain professional standards relating to spelling and grammar.
Maintain credibility through professional demeanor, appearance, and presence by modeling standards appropriate to our environment and industry.
Maintain good working relationships with internal partners by exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills, adopting a constructive, solutions-focused approach.

The position requires the individual to clearly communicate with internal and external customers.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products and applications, including the ability to effectively prepare or review documents, procedures, and reports.
Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and applications, as well as the ability to understand, adapt and adjust responsibilities/workflows as a result of system upgrades.
This position requires periodic travel to attend in person meetings and satisfy office obligations/responsibilities.
Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST. Additional hours may be required depending upon business need.
